If you're interested, send me an e-mail at midnightadrenaline@hotmail.com. There is no word count limit (but don't make it TOO long--maximum 1300, let's say) and I'll do some light edits once you've sent it to me. The title of the post will be "How I write": A guest post by (name of person). I will include links to your Twitter/blog(s)/website(s) if you want me to. As for the author intro, either you write it yourself, or I can do it.
Questions to answer in your post if you don't really know what you should write:
- Do you write by hand or on a computer?
- Do you listen to music?
- How do you get an idea for a novel? (The first sentence pops into your head, you go "What if..." and a plot grows from there, you see a scene, an image, etc.)
- Do you plot/outline or simply start writing? (Plotter or pantser?)
- How long does it take you to complete a first draft? A few days, a few weeks, a few months? A year? More?
- Do you write the first chapter then the second and so on, or do you write out of order?
- Can you only write at your desk or can you write anywhere?
- What genres do you prefer to write in?
To give you an idea of how long it should take from start to finish:
- Day 1 is the day you start writing.
- Day X (5 to 10 days later) is the day you've finished the post and e-mail it to me. I usually read it the day you send it.
- Day X+1 is the day I do some edits and send it to you. You read the edits and make the changes you agree with.
- Day X+2 is the day you send it back to me.
- Day X+3 is the I post it if it's perfect.
